Calabaza con pollo

A slow cooker chicken dish for cool weather

Ingredients
1 chicken, cut up, or 4 maryland pieces or 8 drumsticks
1 can peeled tomatoes
1 cup water
1 butternut pumpkin (squash) or 600-800g pumpkin/squash, cubed
2 tsps ground cumin
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp dried oregano
1 bell pepper/capsicum, in 1" dice
1 onion, chopped medium

Method
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker insert, season, and set on High for 2 hours and Low for 2 hours (or "Auto" if you have an automatic setting, for 4).

Serve with steamed white rice, and other accompaniments (corn chips, guacamole etc) as desired.
